The writing of this book is an effort to introduce the reader to the exploration of the challenges in education, which has been a main topic of discussion, reflection, and research by the bodies that influence, engage with, and shape educational events and each educational policy since the establishment of the Greek state, as well as the possible future developments, the role and impact of education on a national and international level.

The evolutionary course of Pedagogy is presented in relation to the successively changing learning theories and their combined application in teaching practice. Additionally, the concept, principles, organization of teaching, means, forms, and models in contemporary teaching approaches are addressed.

The new interdisciplinary curricula and the concept of the interdisciplinary approach to knowledge as a catalyst for the holistic development of the learning process are analyzed. The evaluation is studied as a function of the development of education, along with everything concerning the design of the educational evaluation process (evaluation of the student and the educator, means and forms of evaluation, evaluation of books and educational material, evaluation models).

A brief historical overview of Technical Vocational Education is provided, while through the perspectives of directly involved bodies, the role and contribution of it to the society of tomorrow becomes evident.

The aim and purpose of this book is to become a "teaching and beneficial" tool in the hands of educators, both potential and active, for presenting ideas, methods, and current policies, self-education, and feedback on their scientific and pedagogical essence.
