The episodic story described in this book satirizes the functioning of a government. A Greek government. And it is based on the human passions of its members. After all, history has proven that politics is a very fertile ground for such passions to thrive, often in their worst form.
The protagonists of our story are a prime minister, his secret advisor, and of course the members of his government, where "together they do not make up, and apart they cannot be." The way this government manages to govern and survive politically is subject only to interpretations from the realm of metaphysics. But hasn't Greece survived for 2,500 years like this? And couldn't a government, especially for just 0.16% or 0.32% of those 25 centuries, depending on its first or second term? (. . .)
