The Levenhuk Rainbow 2L Plus Moonstone biological microscope offers magnification from 64x to 640x for observing transparent, translucent, and opaque specimens. It features three objective lenses—4x, 10x, and 40x—with a spring-loaded mechanism on the 40x objective to help protect the lens and specimen from accidental contact. The optical elements are made of multi-coated glass.

Two LED light sources are positioned above and below the stage, and their brightness can be adjusted to suit the specimen. The monocular head is inclined at 45° and rotates 360°. The metal body is suitable for frequent use, while the illumination is powered by an AC adapter or batteries.
