What can I say about the d850. I bought it as a gift to myself this year, coming from the nikon d3500 that I have been using for 2.5 years.

The d3500 is very good for an amateur and quite satisfactory with a good lens. With the upgrade, I saw an incredible difference in resolution, of course.

In addition, the d850 has a great ISO performance with beautiful noise that simply disappears with noise reduction, and the noise is black and not with green, red, and blue pixels.

"And the 4 images I uploaded were taken with ISO 6400 in auto 64-6400, as it was quite dark in the park. With a little sharpening and noise reduction, even in the original raw/jpeg, you can't see anything."

I use it for food, wildlife, landscape, and real estate photography. Not that it doesn't perform well in other styles, of course. I didn't regret the money at all, and personally, I wanted the 45mp for the prints I make.

The dynamic range is incredible.

If you don't care about printing larger than A3, the 24mp will be enough for you.

The camera's autofocus is 99% accurate, the grip is perfect, and the sound of the shutter is very soft, it doesn't bother you at all. Overall, it's an all-around top camera that won't disappoint you anywhere. Plus, you can find countless good Nikon lenses at very good prices second-hand, but you need a good lens because of the 45mp for the camera to "show" the resolution. If you use something cheap, you're simply wasting megapixels.

And the best part is that the camera is immortal with very good build quality, so it's a tool that I personally bought to keep.

I don't even know how the video works, and I'm not interested in that part at all. Although it has 4K video and 8K in timelapse.

What can we say now about the tool? I think everything has been said by previous users, but I will also tell you from my own perspective. I come from the 750. The 850 has an incredible body, as if it is made of steel, it can easily be used as a weapon (lol). Its scope is incredibly clear, and you will understand this when you have a little light. I compare it side by side with the 750, and it is much brighter and clearer in the dark. The round scope is also more user-friendly and gives a sense of superiority and professionalism. As I mentioned before, the body is incredible, all the buttons and materials are made to leave you satisfied without compromising on quality to lower the price, as is the case with the 750 and other budget full-frame bodies. The focus through the scope is better than the 750. In the studio, the tool writes incredibly beautifully and clearly at ISO 64. The automatic white balance is much better than the 750. The battery is slightly worse than the 750, but it doesn't leave any complaints. The grip is fantastic, and even though it is heavy as a camera, because it has such a good grip, you don't feel the weight when using it. In terms of ISO, it can go up to 10,000 with incredible results, but it can also go up to 6,400 with unacceptable results. It depends on the scenario, but overall it performs very well, although the 750 is slightly better. The ISO is the only thing that the 750 excels at, but the 850 retains colors better and is clear, so one could say it's more or less the same. The only downside of the camera, let me think... the only thing I can think of is that you have to increase the shutter speed with so many megapixels! The shutter is smooth, the focus is perfect, the grip is fantastic, the feel is perfect, the viewfinder is incredible, and the image quality is top-notch. The buffer is satisfactory, even with SD UHS-1 cards, it doesn't fill up in normal conditions for a professional (not for sports). The files are around 50-60MB in 14-bit lossless compressed. Uncompressed 14-bit goes up to about 90MB. Almost no one shoots with the second option, I'm just updating

Compared to the D750, I noticed a significant difference in Auto Focus, even though it does not have an AF assist illuminator, and I can say that it is much better, especially in difficult low-light situations. It has a very good high ISO comparable to the D750, but let's not forget that it also has double the megapixels, which means it does a very good job there as well. It has a separate Auto-ISO for flash use!!! Extremely important in my opinion, and those who know what I mean will understand! Very good dynamic range, comparable to the D750. I would like a larger buffer as it is only 2GB and it easily fills up with an SD card without having time to write to the card. Maybe with an XQD card it would work better, but they also have a high cost and you have to carry the XQD reader everywhere, not to mention that you have to buy it, while the SD card fits everywhere. Image quality is excellent. You take a photo with a lens at 70mm and if you work with it at 100% on the computer, you see detail and you think it was taken with a 200mm lens. Of course, it requires good lenses because it is logical that with so many megapixels, it pushes them beyond their limits. In terms of weight, it is within the known frames of the series, so I don't make any mention here. Good and sturdy construction. It lacks a flash, but in my opinion, it never helped me much because with wide-angle lenses, it usually creates shadows in the shot, so only extra flash. Silent shutter and a huge viewfinder. Also, huge files, so consider the cost of the disks you will need, especially if you shoot RAW like me.

I have had it since mid-September, replacing the D800. Do not buy this camera for the higher megapixels. I also had my doubts before getting it and whether it would be worth it. Only when it finally arrived in my hands and after a good set of photos for clients, did I understand exactly what is valuable in this model. It has the perfect auto white balance (with 3 different settings in auto). It has a much, much better auto focus, especially in low light (now I understand why the lamp assist is not needed and they removed it). It has the best optical viewfinder... it may seem small on paper, but a professional will notice the difference and appreciate it. It has a much, much better low-light ISO. With the D800, I wouldn't dare to shoot anything above ISO 3200. With the D850, I have no problem even at ISO 10000. Manufacturers say it is one stop better than the D810, which I did not have. I see that it is 2 stops better than the D800, especially in dark colors in low light conditions... And most importantly, what makes this camera worth it is the incredibly realistic tonality at ISO 64. I can't describe it, you have to see it on a good screen to understand. Hope I have helped.
