Isomat Aquamat F is a clear, ready-to-use aqueous silicate solution for treating rising damp in concrete or brick walls. It creates a horizontal moisture barrier at the base of the wall and is applied using the drilled-hole method, either without pressure or with a pressure injection device.
Its hydrophobic silicate compounds react with the calcium hydroxide in the building material, forming insoluble compounds that reduce capillary absorption and create a water-repellent effect. It must not be diluted and has no corrosive effect on concrete reinforcement. It is not suitable for exposed concrete, exposed masonry, or plaster that will not be rendered or painted.
