Just like in the original Terra Mystica, fourteen different factions live on seven different types of planets and each faction is committed to their own planets, so in order to develop and grow, they must terraform neighboring planets into their ideal environment, in competition with other teams. Additionally, Gaia planets can be used by all factions for colonization, and Transdimensional planets can be transformed into Gaia planets.
