The only downside is that sometimes (rarely) you need to be Mr. Olympia to break the barrel, but this happens with all powerful gas ram air rifles.
I usually use JSB JUMBO HEAVY pellets (18.13 grain), CROSMAN PIRANHA Hollow Point (14.3 grain), and for special occasions PREDATOR POLYMAG (16 grain). The G magnum handles them all perfectly.
Despite being powerful, it has minimal recoil and the noise level is within reasonable limits.
I consider it one of the best air rifles on the market in terms of price, ease of use, and performance, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a truly powerful air rifle.
