[...] The tradition for David with the central element of the Davidic Covenant, which in PD theology is one of the traditions of election, passed through the historical books of the PD in the prophetic message and was widely used, both pre-exilic and exilic and post-exilic. It was also strongly reflected in the Psalms and mentioned in the wisdom literature and biblical Jewish historiography, almost throughout the Old Testament. With this study, we will try to analyze the connection of the tradition for David with the prophetic message, to give the theological stamp and to see why prophecy persists in the tradition for David and the Davidic Covenant. In the same spirit, we will move in the realm of the Psalms, wisdom literature, and biblical Jewish historiography. We should note that we have chosen those texts where we have direct and nominal references to the person of David, as well as references to the "root of Jesse" and "Bethlehem Ephrathah". [...]
