The room thermostat RDH100RF/SET from Siemens is an electronic room thermostat for heating, featuring a large, easy-to-read display and TPI control for precise temperature control in on/off heating systems. 

It can be used in residential buildings, apartments, commercial spaces, or industrial buildings, in combination with zone valves, thermal valves, gas or oil burners, fans, and pumps, to maintain the selected room temperature.

The required temperature is adjusted with the rotary knob on the front of the thermostat, which provides:

  • Control with TPI (Time proportional integral) algorithm: the thermostat activates and deactivates the installation at regular intervals, which are determined by the relationship between the desired and actual temperature.
  • Large LCD screen: easy-to-read screen for ease of handling and operation, with indications of desired or actual temperature.
  • The electronic thermostat RDH100RF/SET ensures the operation of the installation with maximum economy.
  • Operates with 2 AA 1.5V batteries.

    I have used three sets of thermostats. One (out of the three) broke after 2 months of operation, resulting in the circuit constantly short-circuiting (closed), causing the boiler to operate continuously.

    Additionally, the wireless connection is weak. The signal was lost after a wall and a wooden door.
