Unfortunately, I was misled by the good reviews and bought it. This particular cable does not fit well in two different headphones I have, Sony and Edifier. With the Sony, it doesn't fit properly in any way, resulting in no sound at all unless I press the cable harder with my hand onto the headphones; with the Edifier, it fits better and I get sound, but with interference, and I have to twist the plug. Maybe it's okay for connecting to speakers, but if you want it for headphones, don't.
Edit: The same thing happens with a third Creative headset, where again I have no sound unless I press the cable onto the headphones.
Δυστυχώς παρασύρθηκα από τις καλές κριτικές και το αγόρασα. Το συγκεκριμένο καλώδιο δεν κουμπώνει καλά σε δύο διαφορετικά ακουστικά που έχω, Sony κι Edifier. Στα μεν Sony δεν κουμπώνει σωστά με κανέναν τρόπο, με αποτέλεσμα να μην έχω καν ήχο με κανέναν τρόπο παρά μόνο αν πιέσω παραπάνω το καλώδιο με το χέρι πάνω στα ακουστικά, στα δε Edifier κουμπώνει καλύτερα, κι έχω ήχο, αλλά με παράσιτα και πρέπει να γυρίσω το βύσμα. Ίσως για σύνδεση σε ηχεία να είναι οκ, πάντως αν το θέλετε για ακουστικά, δεν.

I had a 3.5mm audio cable for the laptop, an OEM one, meaning anonymous and cheap. I tried another similar one, again for 3 euros. In both cases, as soon as I moved it a little, even accidentally, the mini jack plug would cut off the sound and produce noise that I was afraid would damage my speakers.
I bought this specific Roland one which, apart from being visually more high-quality (thicker and slightly less flexible), doesn't produce any noise even if I intentionally shake it to test it.
It is more expensive than the usual ones, but in my case, it was worth every penny up to the last cent because I was afraid, among other things, that the laptop's output was faulty.
