Description
According to many researchers, defining the concept of stress is not a simple task as it is a particularly broad term with various manifestations. It has also been observed that the concept of stress depends on the research being conducted and the specific scientific field in which it is examined (e.g., Psychology, Medicine, Sociology, Biology, etc.).
Stressors refer to physical or psychological stimuli that are responsible for the tension experienced by individuals and can be classified according to their duration, frequency, intensity, and exact timing into acute, chronic, catastrophic events, and daily annoyances.
The distinction between stressors, minor stressors, and tensions has been sufficiently documented in international literature.
