The jug as a construction is sturdy and well-made. I was not satisfied with the filters. The water does not taste as good compared to others I have tried.
I am satisfied
I have tested it with several people and everyone noticed the difference in chlorine and taste
Some of them use water filters but found my water better
After 5 years the LED on the lid doesn't work
I have had it for 5 years and I am still alive

It is a large pitcher, ideal for families or individuals who drink a lot of water as you don't need to go to the tap to refill very often. If, of course, it is full it is relatively heavy, but okay, one can use both hands!
The first one lasted 3 years and that was because I dropped it and it broke. I hope the second one lasts longer. My only complaint is that over time the white water distillation mechanism from the inside with the filter in the pitcher for use has become tarnished. But that's due to the local water which is full of rust, not Brita. 10/10 I will keep buying it until I install a permanent filter.

Be aware that this specific 3.5L pitcher size does not easily fit in the fridge due to its large size. It does not fit in the fridge door compartment. However, again due to its size, you don't need to fill it up often. We can't have it all :D
Nevertheless, it is sturdy plastic and also easy to clean. I recommend it
This is the 2nd Brita pitcher I am buying, after almost 8 years - the first one fell victim to a little Tarzan, and for all those years it didn't suffer anything. The quality is well-known, and the 3.5 liters will save me in the summer with filling up bottles (of course, it doesn't fit in the fridge, unlike the 2.5 liters). I can find filters everywhere if needed, but I prefer those for harder water, so I have to buy them online. The kettle, bottle warmer, and coffee maker do not accumulate scale, and I don't feel heavy in my stomach from the water. It is dishwasher safe, except for the white lid, which needs to be washed by hand. Just for your information. If anything changes, I will modify the review.
Update 18/04/25: Unfortunately, this one also fell victim to the same Tarzan. We are at the stage where he wants to do everything by himself, and unfortunately, it slipped from his hands, from the height of the counter, almost full. The bottom broke, as is logical. Probably the next purchase will be the "tank" it has (because it doesn't look like a pitcher), in hopes of saving it.
The well-known quality of Brita! This pitcher has a large capacity, it is a bit bulky for the fridge - it doesn't fit, we fill bottles, but it saves you from carrying water!! The first one I got for myself was 2.5ml. I bought this one for my sister who lives in the countryside and she loved it!
I have it for 2 months now and it really works perfectly. I live in a city where the water has a strong chlorine taste, so the jug saved me. I got it for my mother a month ago and she said she now drinks more water. Also, it is true what others have said in previous reviews, that the filter does not need to be changed every 4 weeks but around 6.
We have had it for two years now and it is one of the best purchases for the house. It offers perfect filtering and taste. It is easy to clean and lightweight. Previously, we had the XL size but it is not as practical, takes up space, and is difficult to handle because it is heavy. However, this particular one is impeccable, I highly recommend it.
I have had it for a month now and I can say that I am fully satisfied. Especially if you don't want to use a filter and connect it to the faucet, this pitcher is the purchase you should make. Easy to use and especially for this price, I don't think you can find anything better. I highly recommend it.
It has been very convenient for me because, on the one hand, I didn't have to carry so much water with the bottles and waste so much plastic, so I decided to get a jug. It takes a little time to get used to the taste, but especially after a few days, it improves once you change the filter. It also helps with the salts in kettles and coffee makers. The only thing you need to know is that it doesn't fit in the refrigerator door, but I chose this one so I don't have to constantly refill it.
Excellent quality, very convenient, crystal clear water without burdening us! At an excellent price, buy it, you will be very satisfied!
I bought it only for coffee, but soon we also used it for drinking water. It consistently reduces TDS in water by 40%. The truth is, of course, that after 20 days and up to the 30th day when you change the filter, the reduction of TDS drops to 20%
Very good, I'm sorry I didn't discover it all these years.
VERY IMPORTANT WE SAVE FROM PLASTIC BOTTLES.
I have been using the jug/filter for 1 year and I can say that it is worth its money.
The quality of the filtered water is evident from the first time, it is better than tap water, lighter in the mouth and with a cleaner taste, compared to the tap water in Athens, which is considered good.
It just requires a little attention every time you change the filter (I would recommend every 5-6 weeks) as the water has a slightly strange metallic taste for the first 5-6 filtrations, but afterwards, you feel like you are drinking water straight from the source
Perfect taste in water. Just be careful with the dimensions because it is quite large and it is difficult to fit in the door of a 60-70 refrigerator.
From the products that change your life!
Excellent filter that completely changes the taste of water and makes it more delicious than ever!
The filter can be easily changed every 2 months.
You will never drink tap water again
I had the regular model and I changed it to get the XL. The filter remains the same (very good) and with the extra capacity, I save 2-3 refills throughout the day.
Since I started using the jug in the kettle, coffee maker, and espresso machine, I never saw any salt in the tanks of the devices.
Even in my area where the water is not bad, with the jug's filter, it is noticeably better.
The only point to pay attention to is to see if it fits in the door of your refrigerator in these dimensions. We have it outside the refrigerator so it's not an issue.
For everyday use! No more plastic bottled water. Economical and environmentally friendly, it solved my water consumption issue. No more salt in the kettle and coffee maker. Simply wonderful pitcher.
Very fast, I ordered it and the next day it arrived at my door! I am very satisfied with both the jug and the service
Simply perfect. Spacious, very good quality, in white color, the salts on the external surface from the faucet water are not visible
First day of use and it seems to be of good quality for its price. It is quite large, I haven't tried putting it in the fridge yet. It has a cleaning process explained in the instructions, it has a lid on top with an electronic meter that requires attention and also needs to be pressed and held until it reaches 100% to start. It filters slowly (unless I have done something wrong or it is like that the first time). Anyway, it is clear that the filter does its job! I bought it so that I don't directly put tap water in my espresso machine. The only thing that bothers me is that Brita gives +1 year warranty if you go to the website and register and enter the product.
Very nice kettle. It doesn't leave any salt in the kettle, which I like, and I also like that it opens from the top in a small spot to fill with water.
Great working filter. No chlorine taste from the tap water. The filter will last 2-3 times longer than the indicator will "flash" time to replace.

The Brita Marella XL jug filters and serves water, with a total capacity of 3.5 l and a filtered water capacity of 2.5 l. It includes one Maxtra+ replacement filter and an electronic cartridge replacement indicator, while the BRITA Memo system reminds you to change the filter every 4 weeks.
The Maxtra+ filter lasts up to 4 weeks or 100 l of water and reduces limescale and impurities that affect taste, such as chlorine. It also filters metals such as lead and copper and helps protect household appliances from limescale buildup. The jug is dishwasher-safe, except for the lid.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
