    I bought the Dewalt Cordless Drill Driver Brushless 18V 2x1.5Ah from Germany and it must have had a defect in the gearbox, specifically in the second speed for drilling. I used it for 5 small M6 screws and needed to make an M6 hole in soft iron. Well, after reaching a depth of 2mm (out of a total thickness of 5mm of the plate), the gears of the second speed broke! I was shocked, really, and I couldn't believe it!
    I haven't sent it for repair under warranty yet since I'm far from urban centers and I need it for work, especially for screwing. I believe there won't be a problem with replacement or repair because what exactly can you do wrong when drilling a metal plate????
    Afterwards, I used it with larger M8 screws for logs and it drove them in with ease, exactly as I expected. It feels very good in the hand, the battery lasts well and charges very quickly, so with the two batteries you can work professionally and comfortably. Normally, it deserves 5 stars, but due to the problem I had with the second speed, I can only give 3! Logically, this must be a rare defect.

    At the excellent authorized service center in Nikaia, the gearbox was replaced under warranty without any difficulty and very promptly, and since then the tool works perfectly, exactly as I expected and as it should for a professional tool! The only minor 'flaw' one could mention is the lack of a battery charge indicator, but OK, when one battery runs out, you just put in the second and the first charges/fills up very quickly…
