If you spend money on a pillow, especially for pillows with filling that will last for years, like latex, definitely get protectors like this, which you put on before the pillowcase. You will add even more lifespan because with sweat the pillow gets soaked and smells. Be careful when washing in the washing machine, use the delicate cycle, without fabric softener and let it air dry, not in the sun because the membrane gets damaged.
