Description

Description

Although trainers and coaches possess a satisfactory level of technical execution of exercises, their knowledge regarding the muscles activated in each exercise is inadequate.

The book presents the main and auxiliary exercises with free weights, on strength machines, and only with body weight, mainly from the perspective of muscle function.

The colored illustrative sketches help the reader understand who the protagonist, antagonist, and synergist muscles are in each exercise, as well as in its variations.

This work serves as an anatomical guide to strength training for better design of exercise programs. Additionally, it provides essential theoretical data on the subject and, of course, recommendations for executing the exercises.

Quite a good book for those who want to get into the field of fitness and bodybuilding, to learn the basic exercises. I would not recommend it at all for advanced/professional individuals

The book is mediocre. It will only be useful to those who are amateurs and have recently started exercising with resistance (weights). More experienced athletes will learn very little, if anything, from what they already know.

The theoretical part of the book contains concise useful information about weight training. In the exercise section with the images and electromyograms, it is light years behind compared to Delavier's book "Strength Training Anatomy" and they both have the same price. Of course, here there has been serious attention to detail compared to Delavier's "Strength Training Anatomy" where serious translation errors have been made on many pages.
