In order to prevent steam from dripping and turning into water, you have to press the "intensive" button, which is the strongest, but it only works for 5 minutes. After that, it returns to the previous intensity and you have to be there every 5 minutes to keep it at the highest level. Otherwise, you have to wipe the water off the tiles and cabinets. The build quality is very good, but for the same price, you can get something better in terms of functionality and efficiency.

I combine it with AEG stoves and everything works automatically, you simply open the stoves and the extractor hood receives the command. Quiet with good absorption. Time will show for durability

19/12/19: When I bought this specific extractor there was no review on Scroutz and I decided to take the risk (very wrongly). I bought it for 430 euros and although it is stylish and indeed quiet and powerful, I am facing exactly the same problems that the above reviewer mentions...! From the first days, the indicator lights were flashing with a red color at random times and they would only turn off if you pressed the on/off button for a long time (I managed to figure it out because I read the above comment). The manual doesn't say anything at all. One technician says that this is normal operation and I should find the manual, which I told him I have read and it doesn't say anything. Another technician who came said that it is due to the voltage of the socket and generally the electrical installation in a literally brand new renovated kitchen and that luckily the circuit board didn't burn because it costs 200 euros and it's not covered by the warranty (I wonder if the warranty covers anything at all...). At the same time, we also had a problem with the lighting, which was dim from a certain point onwards and didn't respond to the switch. In the end, it was fixed but with a charge because it was considered that we called the technician unnecessarily because the problem was our fault and not the extractor's. The policy of their official service is unacceptable to say the least. In short, I entered my new kitchen full of joy and the disappointment and hassle caused by the extractor were discouraging. They also said that if it happens again and they finally fix it, we will be charged for the repair and transportation, even though we have a warranty. I am writing this review to save anyone else from what I went through. Honestly, do yourself a favor and get another one until at least AEG withdraws it and improves it or at least admits and informs that it only works with AEG hobs to be active for the hob to hood function...!!
edit 26/12/19: We also installed a voltage stabilizer for the whole house in our panel (we live in Athens and we didn't have any particular problem with the voltage anyway). The problem remains. We come home and the lighting has turned on by itself and the indicators are flashing...
edit 24/11/20 and finally a positive review: the extractor finally works without any problem because the last technician who came attached a small insulation on the "eye" of the sensor (on the bottom surface under the panel) that detects compatible hobs for the hob to hood function. And after this magical touch, I didn't bother with it again. Apart from this inconvenience, the extractor is fine and does a nice and quiet job...!

Although the absorbency of this specific extractor is very good, especially in turbo mode, the device is defective. And I explain in detail. We bought this model a year ago. From the first days of operation, it displayed the following problems. While it was not in operation, the lights on the screen suddenly started flashing as if it had blocked, and we had to hold down the power button for them to turn off. Also, at random times during the day, the lights of the extractor would turn on by themselves. We contacted the store and they referred us to AEG, where the service was truly unacceptable. They told us once that it picks up infrared signals from another device and blocks, then they said it was the voltage of the power (they told us to install a voltage regulator, which is expensive, even though the house was built a year ago with a new electrical installation!). In the end, the problem is probably that this extractor has a function that only recognizes AEG stoves, and as soon as you turn on the stove, the extractor turns on by itself. So, because we have stoves from another brand, it may block because of that. However, we complained that we did not receive any information that this extractor exclusively requires AEG stoves underneath, as the store sold it independently and did not mention anything related. Initially, AEG did not accept to change the circuit board and they told us the things I mentioned above. Finally, after a lot of pressure, they changed the circuit board once, but the problem was not solved. Now we are waiting for a second circuit board to arrive.

Finally, the technician came again and made an adjustment (as they told him from AEG) to the circuit board that he had changed for us the previous time, fortunately without any charge, and since then it has not presented any problems again!!! But really, AEG is unacceptable! If I had known, I would have never bought it, even if it has good performance.
