The prayers used by Teacher Nikolaos A. Margioris (1913-1993) were numerous and mostly extemporaneous, that is, spontaneous, heartfelt, recited from memory, which he delivered before meals or before the start of lessons he taught or on excursions with his students or privately in his personal space.

Several of his prayers were recorded on tapes, in his books, or in manuscripts and photocopies that the teacher gave to his students, resulting in an exceptionally rich material, from which we selected the most representative and essential ones to present in this work, just as it was done with his poems, which also contained the same exact elements, albeit presented in a poetic allegorical form.
