The Saints of our Church are not "metaphysical beings." They were people, men and women who inspired their spiritual children and others around them through the holiness of their lives while they lived.

One such figure is Saint Paisios of Mount Athos. In this book, people who knew him in his daily life share specific moments from his life, in which Divine Grace was always present, in a joke, a "tease," a conversation, and even in the difficult hour of pain.

Through a journalistic investigation that lasted almost an entire year, an effort was made to present aspects of the Saint's personality and to document unknown incidents about the elder who left an indelible mark on the worldly "passage" of his memory and in the souls of millions of people.
