In March 2006, two American professors of International Politics, John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt, published their extensive report `The Israel Lobby` in the English magazine London Review of Books, which caused a stir in the USA, triggering a cascade of reactions that have not subsided and are not expected to subside in the future.

The two scholars talked about the proverbial "elephant in the room"... that everyone sees but no one speaks of: the manipulation of American public opinion and U.S. foreign policy by the Jewish Lobby and Israeli interests.

Encouraging, as well as impressive, is the fact that many prominent figures dared to defend the two professors from the barrage of attacks they faced from the people of the "Lobby"...
