Description

The seven albums of "Low Flights" by Arkas in a luxurious volume.
"What is a lack of imagination according to the little sparrow? "To ride a stick as a child and running to think you are riding a stick". In "Low Flights" Arkas invented a child prodigy with a devilish spirit of questioning and an anarchistic disposition to level everything. His first and easy target is the father sparrow, emotionally shattered by the betrayal and departure of his wife, but also a devoted follower of every petty bourgeois value. The character drama is already set up and indeed in the appropriate setting. A ravaged urban landscape of a city that passed breathlessly into postmodernism without being touched at all by modernity. The dialogues of the little one with the paterfamilias (who, however, has no family) remind us of the protagonists of "Waiting for Godot", as they unfold in a similar environment. In this case, Godot comes and indeed in the form of the anarchist little one, the sparrow kid who has the talent of another child prodigy, Amadeus Mozart, but none of the respect towards the oppressive impresario father Leopold. Quite the opposite, we would say! [...]

I bought it today for 31.60€ in size 29x22, hardbound, of excellent quality the volume.
Inside, the stories are extremely entertaining, with the little sponge being a constant spirit of contradiction, with sharp remarks, a sample of Arkas' talent. I highly recommend it.
