The 5th edition of the Code of Private International Law is a systematic collection of provisions concerning Private International Law. The internationalization of Private Relationships and their regulation through the specific field of Private International Law made it necessary to have a Code that would list and categorize them.
The Code of Private International Law includes the applicable provisions in Greece regarding Private International Law, regulations of International Procedural Law, connection rules, and regulations related to judicial cooperation and conflicts of public authorities, as well as important texts of International Uniform Law.
The Code covers legal matters related to the capacity of natural persons, legal entities, international family law, international contractual and tortious liabilities, international property law, international inheritance law, the application of private international law rules, special conflict rules, international procedural law, international arbitration, and judicial assistance.
The Code received a favorable reception since its first edition in 2009 and serves as a useful tool for teaching the subject and for practice, especially at a time when the field has become more complex and has significant practical application.
