Description

The events of September 11, 2001, in New York and Washington, D.C. (the suicide bombings of the Twin Towers and the Pentagon) raised the question of "why?";

The attempt to answer this, that is, the search for the reasons and causes that provoked these murderous attempts, leads to Saudi Arabia and generally to the Middle East, and to the encounter between Islam and the West under the worst conditions, namely those of colonialism from the early 19th century.

Thus, both the reform efforts of Islam to modernize its pace and the constitutional and patriotic initiatives that were mortgaged by the oppression of European and later American colonial presence paved the way for the conflict between the West and Islam.
