This edition has become necessary due to the rapid internationalization of economic transactions and the recourse of states to international economic cooperation through bilateral and multilateral agreements. It is a timely and systematic study of international economic law.

At the outset, the law of international trade is presented, based on the agreements established during the founding of the World Trade Organization. Special reference is made to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), the Agreement on Agriculture, the General Agreement on Trade in Services, and the Agreement on Government Procurement.

Subsequently, the law of international investments is examined, particularly the concept of foreign investment, the regulations of the GATS and TRIMS Agreements, the protection of intellectual property rights according to the TRIPS Agreement, the structure and functioning of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA).

In the end, regulations related to international monetary and credit law are presented, particularly the structure of the international monetary and financial system, with specific reference to international intergovernmental forums (G-10, G-7, G-20), international economic organizations, as well as the sources of international monetary and financial law (codes of good practices, corporate governance principles, international accounting standards).

In this context, the structure and functioning of the International Monetary Fund is examined, and international banking law is presented with an emphasis on banking supervision exercised through the Basel Committee.

The work is complemented by a rich bibliography, both foreign and Greek, online sources, as well as appendices containing the full text of the World Trade Organization agreements, the Statute of the International Monetary Fund, and reports related to international banking supervision.
