Description

Little secrets for a beautiful daily life ... THE GARDEN OF THE VIRGIN MARY, as the place and time of eternity, has always been and will always be an endless source of inspiration for clergy, theologians, liturgists, chanters, iconographers, philologists, architects, poets, writers, thinkers, historians, sociologists, musicians, painters, folklorists, and many others.

However, no matter what you write or describe about Mount Athos, it will always be just a grain of sand from an endless beach, warmed by the loving embrace of the Virgin Mary. This is because Mount Athos is essentially that which remains unseen, as it operates in the invisible realm of creation.

Therefore, to understand it, you will need spiritual binoculars, which, however, are not sold by this blind and transient world. In this book, we present, in a few words and simply, as a small lamp with a cheerful light in the gloomy darkness of our times, various pieces of advice and sayings, the fruit of experiences and divine encounters of contemporary Athonite Fathers, which we heard at times as pilgrims in the garden of the Virgin Mary and recorded.

It is a small, modern Gerontikon, aimed at stirring within the soul a good restlessness and thirst for the eternal and the true. A handful of incense, which we snatched from the sacred cabinet one evening, as the Fathers were reciting in the delightful little church of our Christ, there, at the Athonite throne of the Virgin Mary.
