The TALKABOUT T82 Extreme is the rugged companion you need for all your wildest adventures. IPX4-rated, it is weather-resistant and can withstand the harshest environments. The new hidden display makes calling easier and activates when you need it. The easy-pairing button makes pairing effortless. The built-in LED flashlight provides emergency lighting when needed, so you can read your map in the dark. With essential accessories and a range of up to 10 km*, the TALKABOUT T82 Extreme keeps you connected, whether you’re exploring the toughest trails or reaching the highest peaks.
It is compact, lightweight and easy to carry. With USB charging, you can charge it in the most convenient way. It offers up to 18 hours of battery life and runs on rechargeable 800 mAh NiMH batteries or 3 AA batteries, giving you backup options. It comes with 16 stickers, so you can easily identify who each walkie-talkie belongs to. You can also connect a headset and talk hands-free.
*Range depends on terrain and weather conditions.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
The overall impression is positive: users particularly appreciate the range and battery life, with good performance for staying in touch at ski resorts and during other outdoor activities. They are also described as durable and easy to carry, and communication can work over longer distances than expected, depending on the surroundings.
Just fine for the job I wanted it for. To have it at ski resorts abroad and be able to communicate with each other.
Guys, don't forget the money they cost. They are very good anyway. Okay, if you want a Motorola boat-like, pay 400 euros to have the corresponding expectations. As for service and after-sale support, I don't know.... I won't answer.
The radios deliverd were all with dead batteries, all of them fully charged last max 1 to 2 hours! Could not contact the seller for a complaint! They should replace the batteries!

Nice device... It also looks durable. As for the range... we need to know the basic operating principles... When we use it in the same side of the mountain while skiing, there is communication.
Professional use in driving school. One microphone broke in 7 months. NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. The battery of one device out of the four broke (the device doesn't even work) exactly after one year. NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. The worst part is that even though I am willing to buy a new battery at my own expense, THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT BATTERY AVAILABLE.
From what I understand, there is no official importer-dealer, there is only a supplier, and obviously, he doesn't care.
To driving schools: it's better to use Baofeng and Chintchansdon or even better, make phone calls with Bluetooth hands-free instead of using walkie-talkies

We used them in the wider area of Chamonix. It had a greater range than expected in the ski resorts among them (Les Houches, Flegere, Balme) and with the village of Chamonix. We used them (adults and children) only for necessary communication, and with an 8-hour charge, we had battery for 3 days. From the usage so far, we consider the product very reliable and very adaptable (you can carry it either with a strap or a clip), especially for the mountains.
The only reason I give it 4 stars is because it is waterproof. The indication it has is IPX4, which means it can withstand some water droplets. However, the company recommends not getting it wet...
