The work is based on extensive primary and secondary factual material. It is methodologically sound and, most importantly, free from the orientalist approaches and interpretations of certain Western Islamic scholars who insist on interpreting Arab politics as a result of emotional actions by Arab leaders rooted in personal grudges and fanatical illusions, rather than as logical steps towards the pursuit of their goals.
