I have a Land Cruiser '04 3.0L D-4D. In the last 2-3 years, I noticed that while before I could go to Thessaloniki and back with one tank and still have half a quarter left, now I need an extra refill of €25 halfway through the journey to prevent the car from steaming up.
Because it seemed like it was burning, I took it to the workshop for a check-up, but everything was fine.
The issue was identified in the Diesel. According to the law, diesel started with a 5%-7% blend of bio-diesel and now it has reached 10%, B5/7 & B10. They do this to prevent pollution with many particles as it helps with combustion, but the downside is that it doesn't have the same energy density as pure petroleum.
By adding a bottle, I saw a definite difference in mileage as I went back and forth with one tank again.
On the other hand, I didn't notice any significant difference in acceleration, engine sound, or vibration.
I give it a 5 out of 5 because it definitely makes a difference in fuel consumption, although the difference in other aspects may be minimal.
Έχω ένα Land Cruiser του ''04 3.0L D-4D. Τα τελευταία 2-3 χρόνια παρατήρησα πως ενώ παλιότερα πήγαινα Θεσσαλονίκη και πίσω με 1 γέμισμα και έμενε μισό τέταρτο τώρα χρειάζομαι ένα έξτρα γέμισμα 25€ ενδιάμεσα στην διαδρομή για να μην πάει με υδρατμούς το αμάξι.
Επειδή φαινομενικά έκαιγε το είχα πάει και στο συνεργείο για έλεγχο αλλά όλα μια χαρά.
Το θέμα εντοπίστηκε στο Diesel. Βάση νόμου το diesel ξεκίνησε με 5%-7% πρόσμιξη βιο-ντίζελ και τώρα έχει φτάσει στο 10%, Β5/7 & Β10. Αυτό το κάνουν για να μην μολύνει με πολλά σωματίδια καθώς βοηθά στην καύση αλλά το αρνητικό είναι πως δεν έχει την ίδια πυκνότητα ενέργειας όπως το καθαρό πετρέλαιο.
Βάζοντας ένα μπουκάλι είδα σίγουρη διαφορά στα χιλιόμετρα καθώς ξανά πήγα και γύρισα με 1 γέμισμα.
Από την άλλη δεν παρατήρησα κάποια σημαντική διαφορά στην επιτάχυνση, στον ήχο της μηχανής, την δόνηση.
5 στα 5 δίνω γιατί κάνει σίγουρα διαφορά στην κατανάλωση, για τα άλλα ίσως είναι ελάχιστη η διαφορά.
