The history of Ron Millonario begins in 1904 in northern Peru when a group of farmers united to sell sugar. In 1922, Don Rolando bought the farm and in 1933 sent his son to study in England. In 1938, the son loaded a ship from London to Peru with a milling machine and a distillation apparatus, and in 1950, he officially founded Ron Millonario. The company is now owned by the Italian company Rossi & Rossi, under whose ownership Rum Nation also resides.
