Description

The Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 charge controller offers ultra-fast maximum power point tracking and outstanding efficiency of 98%. It supports 12V and 24V battery systems, features built-in Bluetooth for easy programming via an app, and includes comprehensive electronic protection.

MPPT Technology & 98% High Efficiency

The charge controller uses MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technology to continuously monitor the voltage and current of the photovoltaic panels. It increases the energy stored in the batteries by up to 30% compared with basic PWM controllers, while also offering efficiency of up to 98%. This ultra-fast operation is particularly beneficial in conditions with changing cloud cover.

System Compatibility & Power Limits

Designed for use with 12V and 24V battery systems, with a charging current of 30A. For 12V systems, the maximum panel power is 440W, while for 24V systems it can reach 880W. When wiring the system, the total open-circuit voltage (Voc) of the solar panels connected in series must not exceed 100V. The panels must have identical technical specifications.

Integrated Electronic Protection System

Equipped with advanced safety circuits, the controller helps ensure the longevity of the installation. It includes overheating protection and automatic power derating at high temperatures. It also protects against potential faults, including open circuit, reverse polarity, and reverse current.

Wireless Bluetooth Communication & VictronConnect

The SmartSolar range features built-in Bluetooth, enabling direct connection to a smartphone or tablet via the free VictronConnect app for easy monitoring and configuration. In addition, remote management is available through the Victron Remote Management (VRM) web portal using the Venus GX communications centre.
