I have never bothered to write a negative review, even for products that deserved it! But here I feel obliged, in case someone manages to save their money! This is an unacceptable top case! Let me explain:

When my bike fell over from a parked position... it broke! Okay, you’ll say it’s plastic, these things happen, and that’s true, let’s move on! So I replaced it with the same one! Barely two or three months go by and the lock has a problem! These things happen... you’ll say! Replaced the lock and moved on! Before a year had passed, it started leaking water!!! Do these things also happen???

Don’t waste your money. As a Kappa top case owner for a decade, I never had the slightest issue! No breakages – and my bike had been knocked over more than a few times by the geniuses who park in the city center – no problems, nothing!

Good top case, the 40 liters are enough for a full-face helmet, a ring lock, 4 bungee cords, waterproof pants, a cleaning cloth, gloves... it fits quite a lot, but not 2 full-face helmets because the top part is flat and is convenient for extra loading on top, even a small suitcase-carry-on. I bought it for the flat upper part, for extra loading. I have used it for 10,800 km on a moped and it fits perfectly. It holds up. It still closes well, no water gets in. It is a good choice. Not perfect, though. In terms of size it is quite enough, visually I mean it comes close to saying it is a big lump. It does not win any beauty awards.. However, if you want space, it is enough, it will do you proud.. I would also install it without its plastic rack since I only want the flat upper part of the top case where I put the suitcase in the photo with two bungee cords, i.e. because the bungee cords are long and tie at the back to the moped's metal rack, I would not use the plastic rack that comes in the top case package as an extra. Whatever one wants, one tries it anyway. However, if the plastic rack is fitted, the top case gets pierced, there is no return.

30/6/2026 : unfortunately one hinge broke, it loses two stars, how much within 2.4 years? 14,300 km? I no longer know if it is worth it with such durability..
