Sound-wise, it does not lack in any way, even compared to cables that are twice the price, if someone wants to move on to something better than budget. I initially used them to connect my HTPC and later my TV to an amplifier with very good results. Acoustically, it's a solid 5, however, I give it a 4/5 only because I would prefer not to have such "cheap-looking" plastic on the casing.
