The eBAND (Extended Bandwidth & Angular-Dependency) coating suppresses reflections, delivering vivid images of exceptional clarity.

Thanks to the lens shell, which is mainly made of magnesium, the 100-400mm has the lightest weight in its class, making it ideal for handheld photography for extended periods.

With the MOD (Minimum Object Distance) minimum focusing distance of 1.5m and a maximum image magnification ratio of 1:3.6, the 100-400mm allows you to blur the foreground or background to dramatically highlight your central subject at close range.

Its moisture-resistant construction and the fluorine coating on the front element provide extra protection when shooting outdoors.
