Thanks to the lens shell, which is primarily made of magnesium, the 100-400mm has the lightest weight in its category, making it ideal for handheld photography over long periods.

With the MOD (Minimum Object Distance) minimum focusing distance of 1.5m and a maximum image magnification ratio of 1:3.6, the 100-400mm allows you to blur the foreground or background to dramatically emphasize your central subject at close range.

Its moisture-resistant construction and fluorine coating on the front element provide additional protection when shooting outdoors.
