The stories published so far about the Empire of Trebizond (1204-1461) do not contain, to such an extent, the Eastern (Muslim - Christian) and Western (Latin) sources that Mr. Savvidis has studied and presents here, sources that are not only rare and hard to find but many times entangled and conflicting with each other.
