I switched from Synology DS115j to DS218 and noticed a significant difference. The files are transferred much faster at a LAN level, the disks are easily installed, and the applications also open quickly. It's a good purchase for me as I wanted it primarily as a storage space because I have lost files with portable external drives.

It wasn't my first choice but due to availability, I settled for it. Excellent for NAS Backup. I've been using it for about 6 months now and I think it can handle more. I haven't encountered any issues since I set it up. However, clarification if you want it for a media server, I wouldn't recommend it.

Fast, stable, very good value for money. Now I have the immediate response to whatever I ask for that was missing from the old one. Easy migration from my old Ds214se. I recommend it.

Prefer a NAS with 2 slots for disks so that you don't have a problem in case someone has an issue. 2 Ironwolf Pro were purchased and installed directly.

For backing up personal files and files of other family members. Very easy setup if you follow the instructions correctly. Plenty of apps for whatever you want to do, from simple use to VMs, recording for cameras or even a music&video station. I recommend it if you find it at a good price (230€), beyond that, it depends on the space you need in GB.

The best and most cost-effective purchase I have ever made, regardless of the money. It solves your hands. Stable, fast, reliable, even once crashed due to my own mistake, I restored its functionality and all settings from the backup with a connection to my mom. It's worth its money and the purchase.

Extremely stable. I use it as my main storage/media center with 2x Seagate Ironwolf 8TB in RAID1. The disks are a bit noisy during peak read/write, but you can easily set it up and forget about it.

Perhaps the best product I have ever purchased, you install it and forget about it! It synchronizes all services (backup, music, photos, etc.) and at the same time, you can use it to archive your movie library and all your data. It has good memory and will meet the needs of a home user and maybe even a small business.
