The thickness is indeed one of the largest on the market and that is something I wanted. This means that for someone who has an issue with their back, it is sufficient. The material is of good quality and overall the build quality seems good (for example, even the 'rings' that serve as 'holes' for hanging are sturdy and stable). It appears to be durable, although I may not be the best judge of that, since I don't put it through much wear and tear (I place another yoga mat from Jade Yoga on top of it). Which brings us to its drawback, hence the 4 stars: the mat is quite slippery on both of its surfaces, meaning both the one that touches the floor and the one that touches the body. If you have a carpet or rug underneath, it's fine, otherwise on tile or wooden floors it is slipperier than it should be. The solution of putting a second mat on top came about because the Jade has very good grip and 'holds' well (e.g., when you need support for push ups with sweaty hands, 'downward dog' or crow pose in yoga, etc.). In general, I don't do aerobics on this, but I believe that if I did, the problem would be more pronounced.
Το πάχος είναι όντως απο τα μεγαλύτερα της αγοράς και αυτό είναι κάτι που το ήθελα. Αυτό σημαίνει οτι για κάποια/ον που έχει θέμα με την μέση του είναι επαρκές. Το υλικό είναι καλής ποιότητας και γενικά η ποιότητα κατασκευής φαίνεται καλή (για παράδειγμα και τα 'κρικάκια' που έχουν ως 'τρύπες' για να κρεμιέται είναι στιβαρά και σταθερά). Φαίνεται ανθεκτικό αν και σε αυτό δεν είμαι απαραίτητα ο καλύτερος κριτής, μιας και δεν το ταλαιπωρώ πολύ (βάζω απο πάνω του ένα άλλο στρώμα yoga που έχω από την Jade Yoga). Που μας φέρνει στο μειονέκτημά του, εξ' ου και τα 4 αστεράκια: το στρώμα γλυστράει αρκετά και απο τις δύο επιφάνειές του, δηλαδή και αυτή που εφάπτεται στο πάτωμα και αυτή που ακουμπάει το σώμα. Αν έχετε χαλί ή μοκέτα απο κάτω έχει καλώς, διαφορετικά πάνω σε πλακάκι και σε ξύλινο πάτωμα είναι περισσότερο γλυστερό απ' οτι θα έπρεπε. Η λύση του να βάλω δεύτερο στρώμα απο πάνω έγινε γιατί το Jade έχει πολύ καλή πρόσφυση και 'κρατάει' καλά (πχ. όταν χρειάζεται στήριξη στα push ups με ιδρωμένα χέρια, 'κάτω-σκύλο' ή crow pose στην yoga κλπ). Γενικά δεν κάνω αεροβική πάνω σε αυτό, αλλά πιστεύω οτι αν έκανα το πρόβλημα θα ήταν πιο έντονο.
