Maybe it works better on shorter hair because mine is a bit longer, somewhere in a pompadour style, but unfortunately the hold is not the best because you have to use more than a fingertip especially if you have longer hair. The positive thing about this pomade, and that's why I would highly recommend it to a beginner, is that it is truly water-based, so it washes out immediately with shampoo and leaves a more natural wet (somewhat matte) look on the hair. It also has a fantastic scent and does not irritate the skin like other pomades, which is very important. For its price and quantity, it is fair, I would put it at 9 euros specifically for 125 grams. But there are definitely much better pomades (both water and oil-based) with a stronger hold, unfortunately Tenax is not one of them :(
