For Pheidon Patrikalaki, writing his book on the Baroque was a lifelong work and a creative endeavor that is revealed not only through its European history, ideologies, aesthetic imperatives, and the spirit of the era but also through the artistic contributors, the hours and days they experienced, the conditions in which they lived, and the ways they produced their works.
