There is a form of art that has sparked widespread controversy and expressions of disdain: heavy metal. A musical offshoot of rock music, it expresses a minority of "fans" whose temperament does not align with the stereotypical norm.
The album-book WORLD NOISE deals with 50 significant themes (as many as the years of heavy metal, which will soon celebrate half a century of existence) that have marked this music and ― consequently ― culture and society. The topics vary: Murders, extreme behaviors and musical expressions, religious bands, unimaginable records!
This particular book does not aim to rewrite the history of heavy metal. It seeks, through a critical documentation of events/facts, to present how this music has managed to survive, evolve, and influence almost every aspect of the global community.
The original drawings in the book have been created using the dot drawing method, ― all done by hand and then digitally processed.
