According to legend, the Ark of the Covenant was an elaborate golden box that served as a means of communication with God, as well as a formidable weapon against the enemies of the ancient Israelites. In order to use it, the high priest had to wear an ornate breastplate adorned with twelve sacred precious stones known as the Stones of Fire. These items were kept in the Great Temple of Jerusalem until they vanished after the Babylonian invasion of 597 B.C.

In the ancient ruins of Petra, in southern Jordan, Graham Phillips found evidence that the Knights Templar of the 13th century had discovered the Ark and the Stones of Fire and had transported these treasures to Central England when they escaped the persecution launched by the French King Philip the Fair a century later.

The author followed encrypted messages left by the Templars in ecclesiastical images, inscriptions, and stained glass, and found the Stones of Fire. When examined by scientists from the University of Oxford, the gems were found to possess strange physical properties that caused interference with electronic equipment and created a moving ionized photosphere, resembling a spherical lightning bolt.
