The promotion and presentation of Attica requires an approach to the unique mountainous and coastal units that compose the aspects of the Attic landscape.

With the aim of this very approach, the Regional Administration of Eastern Attica decided to publish a series of monographs on the significant mountains of Attica.

This publication attempts to introduce the largest mountain of Attica, which has historically been a beloved getaway. An introduction that is based on the knowledge and experience of people who have systematically engaged with Parnitha, have lived it, and have loved it.
