The length is ideal because you have the right distance so that your hand does not get burned.

Interesting gadget.. I bought it as a Christmas gift (to myself!...:), so I haven't had it for a long time.
So far, though, it does what it promises. It speeds up and simplifies the lighting process, without the need for matches/lighters/alcohol/paraffin cubes, etc... Just a few dry branches/small pieces of wood, and the fire ignites in 1.5-2 minutes.
Be careful not to have any ash, as it will create a cloud!
For now, I have only tried it with wood briquettes in a fireplace.
In general, it has good reviews on foreign sites and YouTube.
My only question mark is its durability over time because, although it seems to be of good quality construction, there are also (not a few) reports that it stops working after 1-2 years... Time will tell...

After 3 years, it still works. Okay, not heavy use.
During winter, about 10-15 times for the wood in the fireplace
and about the same amount in summer for the charcoal in the grill.
It has the advantage that you don't need to search for cotton-alcohol-matches/lighters.
The disadvantage is that it takes more time with charcoal, unless you have dry fire starters.
Ενδιαφερον γκατζετακι.. Το πηρα για Χριστουγεννιατικο δωρακι (στον εαυτο μου!...:), οποτε δεν το εχω αρκετο καιρο.
Προς τοπαρον παντως, κανει αυτο που υποσχεται. Επιταχυνει και απλοποιει τη διαδικασια αναμματος, χωρίς την αναγκη σπιρτων/αναπτηρα/οινοπνευματος/κυβων παραφινης κλπ... Λιγα ξερα κλαδακια/ξυλαρακια, και η φωτια αναβει σε 1,5-2 λεπτα.
Προσοχή να μην υπαρχει σταχτη, γιατι θα σηκωθεί σύννεφο!
Προς το παρον το δοκιμασα σε τζακι με μπρικετες ξυλου μονο.
Γενικα εχει καλες κριτικες σε ξενα site και youtube.
