We do not aspire to replace any of the good dictionaries of medical and biological terms, but we aim to fill the gap that existed, particularly in the field of Greek-English dictionaries. Every effort has been made to ensure that the terms are rendered as faithfully as possible in the Greek language.

Our goal is to create a dictionary with precise scientific terms and not an interpretative dictionary. The English-Greek section includes older terms that one might encounter while consulting the literature.

In any case, however, effort has been made to incorporate scientific terms that etymologically derive from the Greek language and reflect its greatness, flexibility, and richness. We hope to have met the needs of every scientist searching for the correct rendering of a medical or biological term in either the Greek or English language.
