Over the past decade, significant improvements have been made in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology, while at the same time, the availability of such systems has increased even in small peripheral hospitals.
This has led to a significant enhancement of the role of radiology in daily clinical practice, primarily due to the powerful imaging capabilities of magnetic resonance in revealing the anatomy of soft tissues as well as in functional studies of various diseases.
All of the above, along with the limited Greek literature on the physical principles governing this imaging method, were the main reasons for this publishing effort.
The physical principles of a phenomenon rooted in quantum mechanics are inherently difficult to explain in simple, understandable language.
Additionally, the approach of this particular book makes it even more challenging to precisely describe these physical principles.
