The slanders and defamations of the church against Apollonius imposed upon me the moral obligation to appoint myself as a self-proclaimed defense attorney - something no Greek has done for a thousand seven hundred years until now.
The book describes the story of Apollonius, the ideal divine man. He was a bearer of divine wisdom, an expresser of God's revelation, a religious reformer, a social reformer, a miracle worker, a demigod, and the hierophant of Asclepius, who, as a model ascetic, abstained from carnal pleasures. Apollonius was later labeled by the church as the "Christ of the pagans."
