Description

The slanders and defamations of the church against Apollonius imposed upon me the moral obligation to appoint myself as a self-proclaimed defense attorney - something no Greek has done for a thousand seven hundred years until now.

The book describes the story of Apollonius, the ideal divine man. He was a bearer of divine wisdom, an expresser of God's revelation, a religious reformer, a social reformer, a miracle worker, a demigod, and the hierophant of Asclepius, who, as a model ascetic, abstained from carnal pleasures. Apollonius was later labeled by the church as the "Christ of the pagans."

  • I would recommend it for reading
  • One of Kalogerakis' very good works, the narration of events and facts that come from historical sources and not from religious / recycled circles, sets the mind in motion and develops the hypnotized parts of the brain to function, to compare, to filter and to promote new perspectives on age-old questions and human curiosities.
I do not agree with the dismissive logic regarding Christ or God. It is one thing to see the faults of the church of the cassocked, the inconsistent life/position of the clergy, and another thing is the positive teaching of Jesus.
