Bernard Plossu is a photographer - traveler. However, his travels are merely an excuse for his photography. Not so much for their destination, but for the joy of movement itself.
Plossu needs the feeling of exploration to meet again, renewed, with what he already knows. His photographs, from Spain, Mexico, Greece, France, or from so many other places of his travels, are above all photographs of his own imaginary country, rather than photographs of a specific location.
Their placement in the pages of a travel guide would certainly be misleading.
