This book is intended for use at the undergraduate level (or introductory graduate level) in Software Engineering and/or Distributed Systems study programs.

It contains code snippets that can be used as a basis for developing client-server applications as well as peer-to-peer applications. For this reason, it is also suitable for the laboratory support of a Networking Programming course.

The translation of this book aims to fill a gap in the available Greek literature on Networking Programming, contributing to the understanding and application of fundamental techniques for software development, which should be an integral part of the education of Computer Engineers and Technologists.
