The 7th volume of Stalin's Works contains the writings produced in 1925. During this period, the working class and the peasantry were completing, under the guidance of the Bolshevik Party, the restoration of the national economy.

The Soviet country was entering the period of socialist industrialization, which was the slogan under which the 14th Congress of the Bolshevik Party was conducted. At that time, the question of the character and prospects of the country's development, as well as the fate of socialism in the Soviet Union, was becoming a practical issue for the Party.

In a series of works in this volume, I.V. Stalin thoroughly establishes the general line of the Party for the victory of socialism in the USSR amid the conditions of capitalist encirclement, exposing the line of capitulation of the Trotskyists and Zinovievites—the restorers of capitalism.

Other works illuminate the problems of strengthening the alliance between the working class and the peasantry, the education and engagement of the working masses and youth in actively participating in building a socialist society.

Additionally, articles and speeches dedicated to the situation and tasks of the Communist Parties abroad during the period of partial stabilization of capitalism have also been included.
