Description

Description

Standing out for its enhanced and improved imaging capabilities, the Pentax K-1 Mark II is the successor to Pentax's original full-frame DSLR model, the K-1. With a 36.4MP CMOS sensor and PRIME IV image processor, the camera is capable of producing high-resolution images up to 4.4 fps and recording Full HD video. The 14-bit image processor has been upgraded with a Ricoh accelerator unit, which helps reduce noise while increasing sharpness and color fidelity. At the same time, it promotes a sensitivity range up to ISO 819200 for shooting in low-light conditions. Additionally, contributing to the improvement of image quality, the 5-axis Shake Reduction system reduces the appearance of camera shake for better handheld shooting. This image stabilization system activates Pixel Shift Resolution II, which utilizes sensor movement to capture consecutive frames and merge them to achieve greater color detail and resolution. Dynamic Pixel Shift Resolution benefits from this technology but allows you to achieve similar results when shooting handheld without the aid of a tripod.

Other features

  • DRII (Dust Removal II) mechanism for effective reduction of dust on the image sensor using ultrasonic vibration
  • Crop Mode with a selection to accommodate different types of AUTO, FF (Full Frame), and APS-C
  • Clarity control and tone correction functions, the latest technology developed in RICOH's laboratories
  • HDR (High Dynamic Range) shooting mode in RAW format
  • Ultimate control system for quick and accurate response to the photographer's creative intentions, specially designed by PENTAX
  • Dual SD card slots for top flexibility (compatible with SDXC UHS-1 speed class SDR104 bus speed)
  • Compensation for various parameters: lens distortion, lateral chromatic aberration, brightness level at the edges of images, and fringe effect (available only in RAW format).
  • Compatibility with PENTAX Image Transmitter 2 software for wireless control (requires software update from the official RICOH IMAGING website)
  • Includes Digital Camera Utility 5 version

Review this product
  • This review is about the bundle: Kit (HD D FA 24-70mm F2.8ED SDM WR)

As one of the few Pentaxians left...I consider it excellent for landscapes and astrophotography. In general, it is excellent and I say this without any fanboyism. The downside is that it makes it difficult to do sports or anything else that requires speed...and for 4K video...but ok
