The volume "Credit Institutions - Legal and Institutional Aspects" includes 17 presentations by leading legal experts and scientists that were presented at the 7th National Conference of e-THESIS, which took place in March 2016 in Thessaloniki in collaboration with the Bar Associations of Thessaloniki and Kavala.

The presentations are categorized into thematic sections corresponding to the sessions of the Conference. They address the following topics: a) Current issues in the Financial Sector b) Contemporary issues of operation and rehabilitation of the banking system c) Legal issues regarding the management of performing and non-performing loans d) Financing & modern forms of economic development e) Protection within the banking system and transactions.

Specific issues, of particularly heightened interest for the legal community, were also developed in detail, such as enforcement for the satisfaction of monetary claims based on the new legislative framework, the protection of borrowers in foreign currency, the new European regulatory framework for mortgage loans, microfinancing of many (crowdfunding), as well as current legal issues in the capital market.
